Urmston Christmas Market and Lights Switch-On at Golden Hill Park is on Saturday 21 November 2026, about 20 minutes' drive from Timperley. Free, no need to book, good for most ages, outdoors.
Urmston's Christmas market and lights switch-on moves to the Golden Hill Park car park this year, run by Love Urmston for the Urmston Partnership. Stalls and festive food and drink open at noon, with a children's fairground, face painting and lantern decorating through the afternoon. The stage entertainment starts at 2.30pm and builds to the lights going on at around 6pm. Santa has a grotto on site for a small charge, with a present for each child, so bring a wish list. It's free to come along and outdoors, so wrap up warm.
