Who runs it

Timperley Families is an independent local site run from Timperley, in Greater Manchester. It brings what's on nearby into one place, from organisers' websites, councils and local groups.

What we cover

Everything from toddler groups and library sessions near home to the bigger days out worth a drive: shows, trails, farms, festivals, Santa visits and school holiday clubs. The closer something is to Trafford, the smaller it can be and still be listed.

How we find and check events

We read organisers' own websites, booking pages, council and library listings, and local news. Much of this research is done by AI tools that run on a schedule, following rules we set.

• Every event links to its source, so you can check it for yourself.
• Event pages show when we last checked the details and which site we checked them against.
• Booking status is re-checked often in the two weeks before bookable events.
• Unconfirmed events are labelled, and we leave them out of our picks.
• Our most detailed event pages get a second check: a separate AI reads each fact against its source, and another checks the writing. Nobody from the site has been to these events, and those pages say so.

Automated checks can miss things, and some websites can't be read automatically, so details can be wrong or out of date. Please check with the organiser before you travel, especially for anything that depends on accessibility or sensory arrangements.

Our picks

Weekend picks and guides are our own judgement. Nobody pays to be listed or picked, and we don't earn money from booking links.

Pictures

Pictures usually come from the event's organiser and are credited on the page. We don't use AI-generated pictures of events. If you'd like a picture removed, contact us and we'll take it down.
