West Didsbury's residents and Burton Road's bars, cafés and shops get together for their community Christmas on Saturday 28 November, with the road's lights and tree switched on during the afternoon. The organisers have set the date and promised more details to follow; last year it ran from 1pm with the switch-on at 5.30pm. This year's poster is by local artist Stanley Chow.
