Remembrance Sunday service at St Mary's, Davyhulme at St Mary the Virgin is on Sunday 8 November 2026, 10am, about 20 minutes' drive from Timperley. Free, no need to book, good for most ages, partly indoors.
The parish church's Remembrance Sunday service starts inside with a Eucharist and act of remembrance, then everyone moves outside for the laying of wreaths at the war memorial in the churchyard. A quieter, local alternative to the big civic parades, and a gentle way to explain the poppies and two minutes' silence to children. Allow about an hour and a half.
