St Mary the Virgin on Davyhulme Road holds its Crib Service at 4pm on Christmas Eve. Crib services are the short, child-friendly Christmas Eve services where the nativity story is told around the crib, with carols, so it suits young families who want something early in the evening. It is free and everyone is welcome. The church's Christmas list also has Carols by Candlelight on Sunday 20 December at 6pm and an all-age service with toys on Sunday 6 December.
