Golborne Christmas Lights Switch-On at Peter Kane Square, Golborne is on Thursday 26 November 2026, about 35 minutes' drive from Timperley. Free, no need to book, good for most ages, outdoors.
A short weekday-evening switch-on in Golborne's Peter Kane Square. Golborne Brass Band and a Christmas disco start at 5.30pm, the Rotary Club brings Santa to meet children, and the lights go on at 6pm. Heath Street Methodist Church serves refreshments, and it's all over by 7.30pm, so it suits younger children.
