- Some estates open in spring with a short launch discount (Bolesworth's half-price grotto lasted only days in 2023).
- Small farm grottos release fixed time slots; once they go, every date shows sold out, so book as soon as the listing goes live.

Only LaplandUK has an exact release day and a dated sell-out. Most grotto dates here are 'already on sale by' dates taken from news articles, so actual release was earlier. Garden-centre and National Trust grottos (Dunham Massey Barn, Gordale, Bents, Quarry Bank) could not be dated from sources I could read. The Internet Archive was intermittently offline during this check.

We dated when booking opened for 4 of the most popular santa's grottos within about an hour of Timperley, 2023 to 2026, from the organisers' own announcements, saved copies of their booking pages on the Internet Archive, local news and ticketing sites.
