William Morris: Common Paradise (major free exhibition)

Going with friends? Send it to them

A large free exhibition at the Whitworth on William Morris, the Victorian designer, writer and campaigner, with more than 100 works including textiles, wallpapers, ceramics, stained glass and books. It looks at his ideas on beauty, fairness and nature and how they link to today's environmental questions. Best for older children and teenagers, though the bold patterns appeal to younger ones too, and the park outside is handy for a run-around.
