The Manifold of Memory: immersive felt installation by Gulnur Mukazhanova

Going with friends? Send it to them

A large walk-through installation of felt by artist Gulnur Mukazhanova, grown from one small textile in the Whitworth's collection and inspired by the nomadic cultures of the Central Asian steppe. Its soft forms, rippling textures and shifting colours make it an engaging gallery visit for children who like to explore. Take it slowly and look for the patterns; it runs until spring.
