Sunday Forest School at the Nebula Centre, Carrington is every Sunday until 22 November, about 20 minutes' drive from Timperley. Free, book ahead, best for older children, outdoors.
A drop-off forest school session for children aged 4 to 12 in the centre's Mordecai Garden, planned by a qualified forest school practitioner. Children build dens, hunt for bugs, learn bushcraft and, under supervision, how to make a fire safely. Grown-ups wait outside the forest school area (the café is open), and children need clothes and footwear that can get muddy.
