Handforth Town Council's switch-on takes over The Paddock on Saturday 21 November from 1pm to 5pm, with a Christmas market alongside. The council hasn't said yet when the lights go on; last year it was 4.30pm, after an afternoon of stalls run by local clubs, school choirs and Santa's grotto. The 130 bus is free that day from any Handforth stop to the Paddock.
