A 70-piece Manchester Concert Orchestra plays the film music of Hans Zimmer and John Williams side by side, pitting one composer's big, dramatic scores against the other's famous themes. A good first orchestral concert for children and teenagers who love films, and the 3pm start makes it easier for younger ones. Timings are confirmed on the hall's website on the day.
