Hades & Persephone: sensory dance show for young people with PMLD at Wythenshawe Forum library is on Thursday 5 November 2026, about 15 minutes' drive from Timperley. Free, book ahead, best for older children, indoors.
A new sensory dance piece made for young people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, retelling the Greek myth of Hades and Persephone through touch, smell, sound and light. The audience is led through a sensory installation, with short dances and live cello between close-up interactions, and only five young people take part each time. It has dark moments, so it may not suit children who scare easily. The library has a Changing Places toilet and step-free access.
