A festive cookery class for a parent and child at the Cheshire Cookery School on Norman Road, Altrincham, held on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December from 10am to 1pm. The sample menu is a yule log, gingerbread and a Christmas tree calzone, made together after a chef's step-by-step demonstrations and eaten over lunch in the dining room. The session teaches kneading, rolling, mixing and baking, and suits beginners and young cooks; recipes are emailed afterwards. A place for one adult and one child costs £130, and an extra child can be added for £30 by phone. Classes are small.
