City of Trees brings a traditional fruit press to Longford Park on the Friday of half-term for a free Apple Day. Near the disc golf course on the north side of the park, the team turns this year's apples into juice, with demonstrations at 11.30am and 1pm and a cup of juice to take away. A scavenger hunt runs all day: pick up a map and follow it round the park. It is a drop-in from 11am to 2pm, so arrive when it suits. Free parking is by the athletics stadium on Ryebank Road, and Old Trafford tram stop is about 15 minutes' walk.
