A Christmas weekend opening of Wythenshawe Hall, run by the volunteer Friends of Wythenshawe Hall, whose open days fill the old Tudor rooms with themed displays and dressed-up characters. It is a low-key, inexpensive way to see inside the hall in the park, and on normal open days there is no need to book. Details and prices for the Christmas weekend have not yet been confirmed, so check before setting off.
