Stretford's Unofficial Natural History Museum at The Unofficial Stretford Museum is from Tuesday 3 November to Saturday 7 November 2026, about 20 minutes' drive from Timperley. Free, no need to book, good for most ages, indoors.
Urmston artist Ella Jo turns the Unofficial Stretford Museum into a cabinet of curiosities about Stretford's everyday wildlife, with painted plants and animals, pressed flowers and found objects. Visitors of any age can drop in to draw local wildlife, decorate cardboard butterflies or invent their own Stretford creatures, which join the display. Saturday is the closing celebration, and you can bring food over from GRUB or Longford Tap.
