Summerseat Garden Centre's grotto begins in an enchanted Christmas elevator that whisks families off to the North Pole, where Santa is waiting in his cosy grotto to hear Christmas wishes. Every child gets a gift, and there's time for photos. Visits last about ten minutes, with up to four children a session. It runs from 28 November to Christmas Eve. Child tickets are £15; up to four grown-ups go free, and babies under 12 months are free without a gift.
