Lymm's long-running Dickensian Day fills the village centre with festive food and drink, craft stalls and a Santa's grotto, plus a Christmas parade with local schools, steam engines, morris dancers and Father Christmas. Runners in Santa suits take part in a Santa dash. The village is closed to traffic, so use the free park and ride from Lymm High School on a vintage bus.
