The Lambing Shed's barn near Knutsford becomes a Christmas skating rink with trees and lights, using a synthetic surface that is easier to balance on than real ice. Sessions last an hour, with 45 minutes on the rink, and suit children from 3 up; under-3s can watch from the side. Everyone needs socks and gloves, arrive 15 minutes early for skates, and penguin aids (limited) must be pre-booked.
