The Friends of Victoria Park hold a kids' arts and crafts afternoon in the park's community building in Stretford, from 2pm to 4pm on a Sunday. Children can drop in to make and play with a table full of craft materials. The sessions are free but only partly funded, so a donation is welcome if you can give one. It suits primary-age children, with a grown-up, and pairs well with a run round the playground or a drink at the park's Tea Room.
