Lancashire Cricket's #Wicketz programme runs free cricket every Saturday morning at the Old Trafford Sports Barn in Seymour Park. The 10am to 11.30am session is for children aged 8 to 13 and mixes cricket games, activities and coaching, so it suits beginners as well as children who already play. Teenagers have their own session straight afterwards. It costs nothing and there is nothing to book, though the council's listing gives a contact at Lancashire Cricket for questions. The barn is on Northumberland Road, a short walk from the cricket ground.
