Brooklands Health Club on Whitehall Road holds a free Christmas market on Sunday 6 December from 11am to 2pm. The club's poster promises local artisan traders, food and drink, live music and a Santa's grotto, and everyone is welcome, members or not. Entry is free and there's no need to book; the club hasn't said whether the grotto costs extra, so take a little money just in case. A handy late-morning outing for families in Brooklands and Sale Moor, with gifts to browse while children look forward to meeting Santa.
