The award-winning musical, with songs by Elton John, returns to the Palace Theatre. Set in a northern mining town during the 1984-85 strike, it follows Billy from the boxing ring to the ballet class as he discovers a love of dancing that changes his family and community. The theatre's age guidance is 8 and up: it has strong language, family conflict, some violence, smoking on stage and flashing lights. There is an interval.
