Stretford starts its Christmas on Sir Tony Lloyd Square by Stretford Mall with an afternoon of festive stalls, roasted chestnuts and live music, hosted by local presenter Matty White. Stretford Uke play in GRUB from 4pm and Stretford Brass Band at 5.30pm, before the town's Christmas tree and lights go on at 6pm. Families with little ones can head home after the switch-on; GRUB carries on with street food and a DJ set until 10pm.
