St Peter's Church in Hale runs a stay-and-play morning for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers up to age 4 in the Veranda Room at St Peter's House, next to the church on Ashley Road. It is on Mondays from 10am to 11.30am in term time, with toys to play with and refreshments for the grown-ups. Parents, grandparents and carers are all welcome, and so are parents-to-be looking to meet others before their baby arrives. It costs £3 a session or £30 for the whole term, and contactless payment is taken. After half-term it is back on Monday 2 November.
