St Mary's Christmas Fair

St Mary Magdalene in Ashton on Mersey opens its annual Christmas Fair on Saturday 28 November from 11am to 2pm. Expect stalls of handmade crafts, cakes, homemade jams and good-as-new finds, live music and the church's seasonal barbecue, plus a family fun zone to keep children busy while grown-ups browse. The church's Heartbeat Café serves coffee, cakes and other refreshments. Money raised goes to the Christian missions and charities the church supports. There's no need to book: just turn up at the church on Moss Lane. A friendly, low-cost way to start the countdown to Christmas close to home.
