Old Trafford Library runs a free LEGO building club every Saturday (11am-1.30pm). Children can drop in to build, test ideas and pick up new skills, and Duplo is set out so younger brothers and sisters can join in too. There is no need to book, but spaces are limited, so arrive early on busy weekends. It is one of several Saturday LEGO clubs across Trafford's libraries, and a handy free hour on a wet weekend.
