Hoole's switch-on returns to the community centre as a family day: an Elf Academy, kids' quiz, fire pits for marshmallows, a post box for letters to Santa and a Santa's grotto, with local bands, choirs and a Christmas jumper parade before the lights go on around 5pm. Found on allevents.in, which republishes the organiser's Facebook event; no page of the organiser's own lists it yet.
