Bolton's free winter light festival fills the town centre each evening from 5pm to 9pm with illuminated artworks and roaming performers. Highlights include a walk-through Loom of Light in Victoria Square inspired by Bolton's cotton-weaving history, a six-metre glowing sun outside the Central Library, and giant illuminated puppets with live music on Le Mans Crescent. Free and outdoors, so wrap up and plan a walking route between sites.
