Knutsford's Christmas season starts with an afternoon of festive entertainment in the town centre, building up to Santa's arrival, a lantern parade led by local children and the switching on of the lights after dark. It is a free, outdoor street event for all ages, so wrap up warm. This year it runs separately from the Christmas market, which follows in December.
