St Wilfrid's in Northenden holds a Messy Communion on the first Sunday of some months, and the next one is on Sunday 1 November. It starts at 10am with themed crafts and activities for the whole family, followed at 10.40am by a short, informal communion service written with children in mind. Free refreshments are served. It suits families with children of any age who'd like a hands-on, relaxed church morning. Everyone is welcome and there's no need to book. The church is on Ford Lane, close to the river in Northenden village.
