Finnish-born author Lottie Saahko visits Simply Books in Bramhall to read from Lumi and the Wolf, her adventure about a girl in Lapland who sets out to save a hunted white wolf. Afterwards she runs a forest diary workshop: children look at natural materials from the forest, listen to nature sounds and decorate a notebook of their own, picking up ways to draw and write about what they notice outdoors. The book suits readers of about 8 to 12. A £14.99 ticket covers one child and one adult plus a copy of the book, signed by Lottie. The session lasts an hour.
