Author and illustrator Lottie Saahko leads a hands-on workshop at Waterstones Macclesfield inspired by her book Lumi and the Wolf, in which Lumi keeps a diary of everything she sees and hears in the woods. Children make a forest diary of their own with craft materials, drawing and colouring, and meet the author. Best for ages eight and up; it's free, but spaces round the table are limited, so phone the shop to book. Children need a grown-up with them in the shop.
