English National Ballet dances Rudolf Nureyev's version of Romeo and Juliet, telling Shakespeare's story of two young lovers from feuding families in Verona entirely through dance, with Prokofiev's score played live by a full orchestra. It runs to just under three hours with two intervals, and the company recommends it for ages 10 and up because of its length and content. A good first big ballet for older children who already know the story.
