Half Term Fun at Chatsworth Farmyard is on at Chatsworth House, Bakewell from 24 October to 1 November. It's about 75 minutes' drive from Timperley. Prices: Farmyard/garden tickets; pre-book for free parking. You need to book ahead. It suits most ages, with some of it indoors.

Good to know about Chatsworth House

Parking: House car park £7.50–£10 a day, free with an online-booked house, garden or farmyard ticket; pre-booking needed at Christmas.
Buggies: Pushchairs must be left outside the house (£1 refundable lockers); use a front-facing carrier inside.
Food: Several cafés and restaurants including the Carriage House Café; picnics welcome in the free parkland.
Toilets: Baby change by the house entrance, Carriage House Café and farmyard; Changing Places by the house (Radar key).
