Half-term at Elizabeth Gaskell's House brings a free Hidden Wonders spotter trail with a drawing challenge and sticker, drop-in creepy crafts, a Cranford the Cat trail and Victorian dressing-up, aimed at children aged 4 and up. Most things in the house can be touched and the chairs sat on. Buggies are welcome throughout, with a lift and ramp, and you can bring a picnic if you buy a drink or snack.
