A free Halloween weekend across Manchester city centre, marking ten years of the MCR Monsters, the giant inflatable creatures that perch on buildings from Exchange Square to Mayfield Park for the whole of half-term. Over the weekend there are walkabout performers, party games, spooky storytelling, a monster bake-off, a free sweet stop on New Cathedral Street and a procession of monster puppets, stilt walkers and a brass band. Fancy dress is encouraged.
